Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 (3 lb.) broiler-fryer, cut up
- 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
- 2 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 3 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1/4 tsp. oregano
- dash of pepper
Method
- About 1 hour before serving:
- In 12-inch skillet, over medium-high heat, in hot margarine, cook chicken until browned on all sides.
- In cup, combine remaining ingredients; pour mixture over chicken and heat to boiling.
- Reduce heat to low; cover skillet and simmer 35 minutes or until chicken is fork-tender, basting frequently with liquid in skillet.
- Makes 4 servings.
