- 10 oz. pkg. egg noodles, uncooked
- 1/4 c. margarine or butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 c. light cream
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 10 3/4 oz. can condensed chicken broth
- 4 c. cooked cubed chicken
- 4 oz. can mushrooms, undrained
- 1/2 to 1 c. buttered bread cubes
- 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Grease 2 1/2-quart casserole.
- Cook noodles as directed; drain.
- In medium saucepan, melt margarine; blend in flour.
- Stir in cream, salt and broth.
- Cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Combine chicken, mushrooms and noodles in casserole.
- Pour mixture over casserole.
- Sprinkle with bread cubes and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour or until center is bubbly and top is browned (lightly).
