Ingredients

  • 3 eggs (separate 2 eggs for top)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. flour (rounded)
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/3 stick margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Method

  • Melt margarine.
  • Add sugar, flour and nutmeg.
  • Beat egg yolks from the 2 eggs with the 1 whole egg and put in dry ingredients. Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell.
  • Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, then bake at 350° until thick.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff; sweeten.
  • Put on pie and brown lightly.
