Ingredients
- 2 c. canned dark sweet cherries, pitted
- 1 c. cherry syrup and water
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry flavored gelatin
- 3/4 c. sherry or Chianti wine
- 40 tiny marshmallows or 10 large marshmallows, cut in quarters
Method
- Drain syrup from cherries and add to water to make one cup. In a saucepan, bring syrup almost to boiling and add to cherry flavored gelatin, stirring until dissolved.
- Add sherry or Chianti.
- Pour into an 8-inch ring mold and chill until mixture begins to set.
- Add pitted cherries and marshmallows.
- Chill until firm.
