Ingredients
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp. Mrs. Dash's original blend
- 2 tsp. ready to use chopped garlic, sauteed in 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 4 peppers
- 3 lb. onions
- 2 large stalks celery
- 2 (32 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
- 2 lb. hamburg
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Melt butter in a large pan.
- Clean the peppers, onions and celery.
- Cut up peppers.
- Add diced onions and celery.
- Cover. Cook for 30 minutes.
- Cooks in its own juices.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, sugar, Italian seasoning, Mrs. Dash's original blend and sauteed garlic.
- Continue to cook on low heat.
- Fry hamburg until brown.
- Add to sauce.
- Cook until vegetables are done (not mushy). Salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over your favorite pasta.
