Ingredients

  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 2 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp. Mrs. Dash's original blend
  • 2 tsp. ready to use chopped garlic, sauteed in 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 lb. butter
  • 4 peppers
  • 3 lb. onions
  • 2 large stalks celery
  • 2 (32 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 lb. hamburg
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Melt butter in a large pan.
  • Clean the peppers, onions and celery.
  • Cut up peppers.
  • Add diced onions and celery.
  • Cover. Cook for 30 minutes.
  • Cooks in its own juices.
  • Add the crushed tomatoes, sugar, Italian seasoning, Mrs. Dash's original blend and sauteed garlic.
  • Continue to cook on low heat.
  • Fry hamburg until brown.
  • Add to sauce.
  • Cook until vegetables are done (not mushy). Salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve over your favorite pasta.
