Ingredients
- 1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 2 c. drained, sour pitted cherries (No. 2 can)
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Method
- Sift together dry ingredients and stir into them the egg and cherries.
- Fold in nuts and turn into greased and wax papered 9-inch layer pan.
- Bake 45 minutes at 350°.
- Cut into wedges and serve with whipped cream or ice cream topped with cherry sauce.
