Ingredients
- 2 (21 oz.) cans cherry pie filling
- 1 pkg. white or yellow cake mix
- 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 stick butter
Method
- In a greased 9 x 13-inch pan, put the cherry pie filling; spread evenly.
- Dump dry cake mix onto the cherry layer.
- Spread evenly.
- Sprinkle pecans or walnuts over the cake mix.
- Put 1 stick of butter cut in thin slices over the top.
- Bake for 50 minutes in a 325° oven to a golden brown.
- Serve cooled with whipped cream or ice cream.
