Ingredients
- 4 c. water
- 1 c. Quick grits
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
Method
- Stir grits and salt into briskly boiling water in a large saucepan.
- Return to boil, then reduce heat and cook 2 1/2 to 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat; add margarine and cheese.
- Stir; let stand a few minutes until desired consistency.
- Serve hot.
