Ingredients
- 9 inch pie shell
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 13 cup chopped onion
- 12 cup water or 12 cup milk
- 12 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 12 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 14 teaspoon ground oregano
- 1 cup grated medium cheddar
Method
- Roll out pastry and fit into pie plate.
- Combine ground beef and onion in fry pan.
- Brown with a little oil if desired, until beef is no longer pink, and onion is clear.
- Add water or milk, bread crumbs, ketchup, salt, pepper, and oregano.
- Mix well.
- Cool slightly.
- Pour into pie shell.
- Smooth top.
- Sprinkle cheese over top.
- Cover with top crust and bake uncovered at 350 degrees F.
- for 45 minutes.
- Cuts into 6 wedges.
