Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. catsup
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 lb. sliced American cheese
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuits

Method

  • Brown meat with onion and green pepper; drain off fat.
  • Add tomato sauce, catsup and pepper; heat.
  • Alternate meat mixture and cheese slices in ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  • Arrange biscuits around edge of casserole.
  • Bake at 400° for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown.
