Ingredients

  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • ??? Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. coarsely grated domestic cheese
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 chopped pimiento
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • pinch of marjoram
  • 2 to 2 1/2 c. Niblets corn
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • bread crumbs

Method

  • Saute onion in butter. Blend in flour. Gradually add milk and cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add pimiento, sugar and marjoram.
  • Stir in corn and eggs.
  • Pour into shallow buttered casserole. Sprinkle bread crumbs over top and dot with additional butter. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
