Ingredients
- 1 small onion, chopped
- ??? Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. coarsely grated domestic cheese
- salt and pepper
- 1 chopped pimiento
- 1 tsp. sugar
- pinch of marjoram
- 2 to 2 1/2 c. Niblets corn
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- bread crumbs
Method
- Saute onion in butter. Blend in flour. Gradually add milk and cheese. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add pimiento, sugar and marjoram.
- Stir in corn and eggs.
- Pour into shallow buttered casserole. Sprinkle bread crumbs over top and dot with additional butter. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. Makes 4 servings.
