Ingredients
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 c. flour
- 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Method
- In small bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- With fork, blend in flour until mixture resembles fine crumbs.
- Stir in walnuts.
- Reserve 1 cup for topping.
- Press remaining mixture into greased 8-inch square pan.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes in a 350° oven.
