Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper
- 1 egg white, slightly beaten
- pecan halves
Method
- Combine cheese and butter; mix until well blended.
- Sift flour and pepper.
- Gradually stir into cheese mixture.
- Roll 1/4 inch thick on lightly floured board.
- Cut into 1-inch rounds.
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet; brush with egg white.
- Top with pecan half.
- Bake at 450° for 10 to 15 minutes.
