Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 34 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup milk
- 34 cup raisins
Method
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
- Cut in butter, until it forms coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cheese.
- Blend egg and milk.
- Add to dry mixture, stirring only until moist.
- Fold in raisins.
- Spoon batter into greased muffins tins, filling 2/3 full.
- Bake 25 minutes, or until brown, Serve hot.
