Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. raisins
  • 1/2 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. salad oil
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. uncooked oatmeal
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Rinse and drain raisins.
  • Sift flour, baking soda and salt into a bowl.
  • Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Drop by teaspoonful two inches apart on greased cookie sheets (do not use air-bake or Teflon sheets).
  • Bake at 350° for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool.
  • Makes 3 1/2 dozen very thin, lacy cookies.
