Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce, sliced
  • 1/2 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 c. diced green pepper
  • 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
  • 1 pt. mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 lb. bacon

Method

  • Fill a large bowl or baking pan half full of sliced lettuce, fluffed up.
  • Add, in layers: celery, green pepper and onion.
  • Add frozen peas which have been cooked, drained and cooled.
  • Spread mayonnaise over the top.
  • Sprinkle sugar over the mayonnaise. Sprinkle cheese over top.
  • Fry, drain and crumble bacon over cheese.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnite.
