Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce, sliced
- 1/2 c. diced celery
- 1/2 c. diced green pepper
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 10 oz. pkg. frozen peas
- 1 pt. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 lb. bacon
Method
- Fill a large bowl or baking pan half full of sliced lettuce, fluffed up.
- Add, in layers: celery, green pepper and onion.
- Add frozen peas which have been cooked, drained and cooled.
- Spread mayonnaise over the top.
- Sprinkle sugar over the mayonnaise. Sprinkle cheese over top.
- Fry, drain and crumble bacon over cheese.
- Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnite.
