Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • dash of ground cloves
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 c. vegetable oil
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 3/4 c. shredded carrots
  • 3/4 c. chopped walnuts

Method

  • In large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except walnuts. Blend on low speed of mixer until moistened.
  • Beat on high speed 1 minute.
  • Stir in nuts.
  • Pour into greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
  • Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Cool.
  • Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
