Ingredients

  • 1 c. finely chopped red bell peppers
  • 1 c. finely chopped canned jalapeno peppers
  • 6 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. white vinegar
  • 1 bottle liquid pectin

Method

  • Both peppers need to be seeded.
  • Put all of ingredients, except the pectin, into a large kettle and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes; stir constantly.
  • Remove from heat and pour in the pectin.
  • Continue to stir until begins to thicken (about 20 minutes).
  • Pour into sterilized jars and seal.
  • Makes 6 half-pints.
