Ingredients

  • 2 lbs brie round
  • 14 cup brown sugar
  • 4 -5 granny smith apples or 4 -5 braeburn apples, cored and sliced into thin wedges

Method

  • Take your wheel of brie and cut off the top crust only (with about a 1-inch perimeter left on to help it hold its shape).
  • Sprinkle the top lightly with brown sugar, then put it under the broiler for just a minute or two- watching constantly so that it doesn't burn- until the sugar melts, and then remove it.
  • Serve with thin slices of Granny Smith or Braeburn apples.
