Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 1 c. brown sugar, packed
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. other flavoring to taste
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 loaf French bread
Method
- In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar and syrup. Simmer until bubbly. Pour over bottom of greased 9 x 13-inch glass dish. Remove crust from bread and place slices over syrup mixture. Beat eggs, milk, flavoring, sugar and salt. Pour over bread; cover and refrigerate overnight.
