Ingredients
- 4 large tart apples
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3/4 c. flour
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 unbaked pastry shell
Method
- Peel apples.
- Cut into eighths
- and
- arrange in pastry shell. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar mixed with cinnamon.
- Sift remaining 1/2 cup with flour.
- Cut butter into sugar and flour until crumbly.
- Sprinkle over
- apples.
- Bake
- at 450° about 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°
- and
- bake
- 30 minutes or until apples are tender.
- Makes one 9-inch pie.
