Ingredients
- 1 large pkg. Kraft caramels
- 2/3 c. canned milk
- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 3/4 c. oleo or butter flavored Crisco
- 6 oz. chocolate bits
- nuts (if desired)
Method
- Combine caramels and 1/3 cup canned milk and melt.
- Mix cake mix, 1/3 cup milk and butter.
- Put half cake mix into cake pan and bake at 350° for 6 minutes.
- Remove from oven; add chocolate chips and cover with melted caramel.
- Add remaining cake mix and bake 15 to 18 minutes.
