Ingredients

  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 c. Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 18 oz. peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 lb. chocolate (for coating)

Method

  • Prepare a buttered cookie sheet with sides (jelly roll pan). Place peanut butter into greased large bowl. Cook the sugar, Karo and water to 290°.
  • Pour into peanut butter. Stir quickly and pour into prepared pan.
  • Press flat. Score and cut into pieces.
  • Melt chocolate over warm water. Drop candy into chocolate and onto wax paper to set.
  • Wrap in foil or plastic wrap.
