Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz.) can luncheon meat
  • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce (with cheese)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can baby lima beans, drained
  • 1 (8 oz.) can whole kernel corn, undrained
  • 2 Tbsp. minced onion
  • 2 Tbsp. bell pepper flakes
  • 1 c. biscuit mix
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. paprika

Method

  • Heat oil in Dutch oven. Brown 1-inch cubes of meat.
  • Stir in other ingredients. Simmer and cook 10 minutes.
  • Mix biscuit mix and water. Drop on stew.
  • Add oregano and paprika.
  • Cover tightly and simmer 20 minutes or until dumplings are done.
