Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 beef-flavored bouillon cubes
  • 2 (10-ounce) packages frozen green peas
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Method

  • Combine water and bouillon cubes in a saucepan. Bring to a boil; stir until bouillon cubes dissolve. Add peas. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 5 minutes or until peas are tender. Drain; add butter, sugar, salt, and pepper, stirring gently until well combined. Serve immediately.
