Ingredients

  • 6 oz. fettucine, uncooked
  • 1/2 lb. shrimp (medium)
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 2 medium garlic cloves, minced (1 medium)
  • 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp. cloves, ground
  • 14 oz. can stewed tomatoes
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. green pepper, sliced

Method

  • Shell and devein shrimp. Dice bacon. Cook pasta as package directs. Drain and keep warm.
  • Cut shrimp in half lengthwise.
  • In skillet, cook bacon until crisp; drain.
  • Stir in garlic and spices. Cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add shrimp and green pepper.
  • Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until shrimp are cooked.
  • Just before serving, spoon sauce over hot fettucine. Makes 4 servings.
