Ingredients
- 1 large head cabbage
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 small onion
- 1/3 c. water
- 12 oz. shredded Mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 c. salad oil
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 jar spaghetti sauce
- 1/3 c. rice
Method
- Shred cabbage.
- In 5-quart Dutch oven over medium heat in hot salad oil, cook cabbage and salt until very tender.
- Add water, if needed.
- Cook hamburger and onion together; stir in spaghetti sauce, rice and water.
- Cover and simmer until rice is tender about 20 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Into 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish, spoon 1/2 meat sauce mixture.
- Top with 1/2 cabbage and 1/2 cheese; repeat layers.
- Bake 20 to 30 minutes.
