Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs (not beaten)
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. pecans, chopped

Method

  • Melt butter and let cool.
  • Add brown sugar, stirring well, then add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
  • Add flour, salt and baking powder sifted together.
  • Add vanilla and nuts. Put in well greased pan.
  • Cook for 30 minutes at 325°.
  • Cut while warm into squares.
  • Roll in powdered sugar.
  • Makes approximately 50 squares.
