Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light cream
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 c. water or milk (she used water)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 eggs
Method
- Combine sugar, 1/2 cup light cream, salt and flour.
- Add well beaten eggs; mix thoroughly.
- Add water or milk slowly, stirring constantly.
- Cook over hot water until thick and smooth, then add butter and beat well.
- Remove from fire and add vanilla.
- Let cool.
- Pour into a baked pie shell.
- This makes 2 small or 1 large pie.
