Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cup nuts, chopped
Method
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Scrape bowl down.
- Add flour, baking powder and salt.
- Mix until soft dough forms.
- Press dough into a greased 10x15x1-inch jelly roll pan.
- Gently beat egg whites with fork until foamy.
- Glaze dough with egg whites as needed to lightly cover.
- Sprinkle chopped nuts over egg whites.
- Bake 375 for 20 minutes.
- Cut into bars while warm, 1 1/2 x 3 inches in size.
