Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/4 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/3 c. dry red wine
  • 1 tsp. instant minced onion
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. cornstarch

Method

  • Lightly mix ground beef, pecans, salt and pepper.
  • Shape into 4 patties.
  • Brown on both sides.
  • Drain.
  • Add wine and onion. Cover; simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove patties to platter.
  • Blend water and cornstarch.
  • Add to pan juices.
  • Cook and stir until boiling.
  • Pour over patties on serving platter.
  • Makes 4 servings.
