- 1 whole fryer
- 2 cans whole kernel corn
- 1 can English peas
- 2 onions, chopped fine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 stick oleo
- 2 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 bottle ketchup
- 2 c. chicken broth
- 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1 qt. tomatoes
- 1 can butter beans (optional)
- salt and pepper
- 4 or 5 potatoes, cubed
Method
- Boil fryer until done.
- Debone and shred meat. In a large saucepan combine all ingredients except potatoes.
- Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for at least one hour (longer if you have time).
- Add cubed potatoes and finish cooking until potatoes are done.
