Ingredients

  • 1 whole fryer
  • 2 cans whole kernel corn
  • 1 can English peas
  • 2 onions, chopped fine
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 2 tsp. hot sauce
  • 1 bottle ketchup
  • 2 c. chicken broth
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire
  • 1 qt. tomatoes
  • 1 can butter beans (optional)
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 or 5 potatoes, cubed

Method

  • Boil fryer until done.
  • Debone and shred meat. In a large saucepan combine all ingredients except potatoes.
  • Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for at least one hour (longer if you have time).
  • Add cubed potatoes and finish cooking until potatoes are done.
