Ingredients

  • 1 (13 7/8 ounce) packagerefrigerated pizza dough
  • 14 cup orange marmalade
  • 34 cup chopped Canadian bacon or 34 cup cooked ham
  • 34 cup shredded swiss cheese (3 oz.)
  • 14 cup thinly sliced green onion (2)
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • milk
  • sesame seeds or poppy seed
  • orange marmalade, warmed (optional)

Method

  • Preheat oven to 400.
  • Line a baking sheet with foil; grease foil.
  • Set baking sheet aside.
  • Unroll pizza dough into a 12-inch square.
  • Spread with 1/4 cup marmalade.
  • Cut dough into nine 4-inch squares.
  • For the filling: in a bowl, combine Canadian bacon, cheese, and green onions.
  • Place about 3 tablespoons of the filling on each dough square.
  • Sprinkle lightly with pepper.
  • Fold one corner of each square over filling to the opposite corner.
  • Seal edges and prick tops with a fork.
  • Place turnovers on the prepared baking sheet; brush lightly with milk and sprinkle with sesame and/or poppy seeds.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown (filling may leak out slightly).
  • If desired, serve with warmed marmalade.
