Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
- 2 eggs
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- shortening to grease pan
Method
- Combine all ingredients except nuts and shortening in a mixing bowl.
- Beat 4 minutes with an electric mixer.
- Stir in nuts. Spread batter in a greased 9-inch pie pan.
- Bake at 325° for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Cut into wedges and serve with ice cream and chocolate syrup.
