Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed (half light and half dark)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. nuts, chopped medium-fine (walnuts or pecans)
Method
- In small mixing bowl, beat egg until light and fluffy.
- Add sugar and vanilla and stir until smooth.
- Quickly stir in salt, soda and flour.
- Add nuts and drop by teaspoonfuls on greased pan. Bake at 350° about 7 to 9 minutes or until edges are slightly browned.
- Do not overbake.
