Ingredients

  • 1 small jar Cheez Whiz
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 pkg. frozen broccoli, cooked
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 c. cooked rice

Method

  • Gather tender young poke leaves early in the morning ,while the dew is still on, and gather a large shopping bag full.
  • Pick over and wash through 3 waters.
  • Place in a kettle with one or two cups of water, a piece of salt pork or bacon drippings.
  • Bring to a good boil and when poke wilts down into the water, reduce heat and cook slowly until tender.
