Ingredients
- 1 lb. cottage cheese
- 1 lb. cream cheese
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs, beaten lightly
- 1/4 lb. melted butter
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 pt. sour cream
Method
- Cream cottage cheese and cream cheese in bowl, adding sugar gradually.
- Add eggs and beat mixture with electric beater until smooth.
- This takes some time.
- Stir in lemon, vanilla, flour and cornstarch.
- Add melted butter and mix until smooth.
- Blend in sour cream and put into 10-inch spring pan (greased).
- Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
- Shut off oven and leave in two hours more.
- Do not open oven during entire three hours.
