Ingredients

  • 1 lb. cottage cheese
  • 1 lb. cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 4 eggs, beaten lightly
  • 1/4 lb. melted butter
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 pt. sour cream

Method

  • Cream cottage cheese and cream cheese in bowl, adding sugar gradually.
  • Add eggs and beat mixture with electric beater until smooth.
  • This takes some time.
  • Stir in lemon, vanilla, flour and cornstarch.
  • Add melted butter and mix until smooth.
  • Blend in sour cream and put into 10-inch spring pan (greased).
  • Bake at 325° for 1 hour.
  • Shut off oven and leave in two hours more.
  • Do not open oven during entire three hours.
