- 2 Tbsp. onion, finely chopped
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 2 c. milk
- chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 3 c. Green Giant frozen cut broccoli
- 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. shredded pasteurized process American cheese
- 1 bay leaf
Method
- In a large saucepan, cook onion in margarine until tender. Stir in flour and pepper until well blended.
- Add milk all at once.
- Cook until thickened, stirring constantly, about 1 minute. Add cheese and stir until melted.
- Remove from heat.
