Ingredients
- 2 c. half and half or light cream
- 9 eggs, beaten
- 1 lb. sausage
- 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
- 6 slices bread
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Mix cream and eggs and allow to stand in refrigerator overnight.
- When ready to prepare, remove from refrigerator. Preheat oven to 300°.
- Cook sausage until done; drain and crumble. Trim crust from bread slices.
- Place them in the bottom of the pan.
- Place the crumbled sausage over the bread.
- Add the grated cheese.
- Pour the egg mixture over the top of the other ingredients.
