Ingredients

  • 2 c. half and half or light cream
  • 9 eggs, beaten
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 6 slices bread
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Mix cream and eggs and allow to stand in refrigerator overnight.
  • When ready to prepare, remove from refrigerator. Preheat oven to 300°.
  • Cook sausage until done; drain and crumble. Trim crust from bread slices.
  • Place them in the bottom of the pan.
  • Place the crumbled sausage over the bread.
  • Add the grated cheese.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the top of the other ingredients.
