Ingredients
- olive oil
- 1 2/3 pounds calamari in rings
- flour for frying
- 4 hard rolls sliced in half horizontally
- lemon juice optional
Method
- Place the oil in a skillet and heat at medium-high.
- Dip the calamari into the flour and then place into the hot oil in small batches to fry.
- Remove from the skillet and place directly into the rolls. Sprinkle with lemon juice if desired before serving.
