Ingredients
- 2 c. warm water
- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. Crisco
- 5 to 6 c. flour
Method
- Mix water and yeast together.
- Add rest of dry ingredients, egg and Crisco (except flour) and beat with mixer.
- Add 3 cups flour and beat with mixer again.
- Add the rest of flour.
- If sticky, add more flour.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Makes 2 to 3 loaves.
- Bake at 350° until golden brown.
