Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 34 cup pastry flour
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons hot water
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vinegar or 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 12 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons flour
- salt
Method
- Beat egg whites till stuff - add and beat egg yolks.
- Add sugar, water, and sifted flour with baking powder.
- Add vinegar.
- Bake in deep cake pan.
- Split and fill with cream (custard) filling.
- Whipped cream may be added on top or else sugar may be sprinkled over it.
- Cream filling: Moisten with little water.
- Beat one egg and add to mixture.
- Add cup hot milk.
- Cook in double boiler.
- Flavor with lemon.
