Ingredients

  • 1 lb. butter
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 6 beaten eggs
  • 1 (2 oz.) bottle lemon extract
  • 4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 lb. white raisins
  • 4 c. shelled pecans
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Method

  • Soften butter and cream sugar together, add beaten eggs and lemon extract, mix thoroughly.
  • Sift dry ingredients together and add half to butter and sugar mixture.
  • Blend.
  • Add raisins and pecans to other half of dry ingredients.
  • Add everything and mix well.
  • Put in a greased tube pan.
  • Sit on top shelf and add pie pan of water on lower shelf.
  • Bake at 300° for 2 hours.
