Ingredients

  • 1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. butter, divided
  • 2 1/4 c. sugar, divided
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 c. flour, divided
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. blueberries (fresh or frozen)

Method

  • Grease a 10-inch tube pan with 2 tablespoons butter.
  • Sprinkle pan with 1/4 cup sugar.
  • Cream remaining 1 cup butter, gradually adding 2 cups sugar.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Add vanilla and mix well.
  • Combine 2 3/4 cups flour with baking powder and salt.
  • Gradually add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
