Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette
  • 2 large ripe pears
  • 1/3 lb. creamy, ripe bleu cheese
  • Appx. 20 whole walnuts

Method

  • -Slice the baguette in approximately 20 thin slices.
  • -Toast and cool, set aside.
  • -Slice the pears in approximately 20 thin slices,set aside.
  • -Slice the bleu cheese in approximately 20 thin slices set aside.
  • -Assemble a baguette slice, top with a pear slice, top with a cheese slice, and then a whole walnut.
  • -Place on a cookie sheet.
  • -Broil in oven and watch carefully until the cheese is just melted and the walnut is toasted.
  • -Serve warm.
