Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. cocoa
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. strong black coffee
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1 c. sour milk

Method

  • Combine all ingredients together.
  • Batter will be thin.
  • Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Do not overbake.
  • Do not wait for cake to pull away from pan.
  • It will be dry.
  • This cake will be very moist.
  • Top with your buttercream icing or chopped nuts.
  • Put chopped nuts on before baking.
