Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped green pepper
- 1 (16 oz.) can drained black-eyed peas
- 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained, coarsely chopped
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Method
- Cook ground beef, onion and green pepper in skillet over medium heat until beef is brown.
- Stir to crumble beef; drain. Add remaining ingredients.
- Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes, stirring often.
- If more liquid is needed, add tomato juice.
