Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. dried hot pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tail left on)
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • dry white wine (for flavor, optional)

Method

  • In heavy skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat.
  • Add peppers and shrimp.
  • Cook 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add garlic; cook about 1 minute.
  • Add lemon juice.
  • Serve immediately.
  • Serves 6 people as appetizer with crusty bread.
  • Serves 2 people as main course.
