Ingredients
- 8 c. all-purpose flour
- 1/3 c. baking powder
- 2 tsp. salt
- 8 tsp. sugar (optional)
- 1 c. shortening
Method
- With a pastry blender or 2 table knives, cut in shortening with other ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Store in airtight, covered containers.
- This mixture will keep for some time on a cupboard shelf or for months if stored in the refrigerator.
