Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 stick butter
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and flour, a little at a time, baking powder, nutmeg and vanilla; more flour may be needed to make a stiffer batter.
- (Roll out on flour sprinkled board and cut in shapes; may use a water glass to cut shapes.)
- Bake at 350° until lightly brown.
- Makes 3 to 4 dozen.
